Since I was still a little girl, my greatest dream was to become a teacher. Many children would certainly say the same, but I felt something very strong in this image. My teachers, who inspired me to live my childhood in the most “childlike” way, became role models for me and showed me the way I had to follow, to become one day a role model for children as well.I studied and got my degree in pedagogy, fulfilling my dream. I shared my love with children as a teacher for 10 years and the joy as well as their excitement having me as a teacher filled my heart forever with their love. I wanted my own space to convey to children the bases which would allow them to fulfill their own dreams in the future in the same way I fulfilled my own. At the foot of Hymettus Mountain between the trees and under the bright sun I found what I was looking for. Chrysallida had been a kindergarten for 30 years but had been closed lately. The sun on the leaves was so sweet and the space so pleasant that I immediately took the decision and refurbished the space turning it into my most valuable dream.I gave life to the walls and the children gave life to the kindergarten.. Chrysallida was born again and greeted her young companions with love and emotion. My goal is when these children grow up and become adults, to have in their custody their precious childhood years from which they will be inspired to move on into their lives with faith and self-knowledge. Our childhood is a valuable spiritual heritage that we must respect and preserve because in this magical world of childhood years our personality is being formed. We here, at Chrysallida, are keeping this world immeasurable and especially “childlike”.
